On Thursday 28 May 2026, an update was rolled out to the Freeview Streaming TV app to integrate with the new TVNZ+ channel delivery system. While extensive testing and optimisations have been carried out to ensure a seamless transition, adapting to new delivery formats means some temporary teething issues may occur. 

Known issues

TVNZ 1, TVNZ 2 & Duke (TVNZ channels) are freezing intermittently on some Panasonic TVs (running my Home Screen which features an Apps Market icon and a straightforward ribbon at the bottom of the home screen). This is currently being investigated.

Resolved issues

1. TVNZ channels not loading on older LG TVs is now confirmed fixed.

2. While streaming TVNZ channels, the stream may pause for 1-2 seconds intermittently at an interval of 5-10 minutes. The fix was deployed on 22 June and has resolved this issue.
