About
Whakaata Māori

New Zealand’s indigenous media organisation, Whakaata Māori, screens programming that informs, educates and entertains.

Whakaata Māori promotes, revitalises and normalises the Māori language. Many of the programmes on the channel are bilingual, in both Māori and English, the majority are subtitled and there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Available on Freeview in all the ways: tune in through a UHF aerial, a satellite dish, or get it on the Freeview Streaming TV app.
