Freeview approval.
To ensure your TV will work in the New Zealand market you will need to get Freeview Approval. Freeview provides a straight-forward and cost-effective process for this via the Freeview Certification Programme.
Approval and certification is based on compliance with the Freeview Specifications, which define the DVB-T, DVB-S, HbbTV, and IP standards for receiving free-to-air TV in NZ.
All TVs sold in NZ require Freeview Approval to work correctly.
