How to get Freeview Streaming TV - Android TV

The Freeview Streaming TV app is available on the following Android TVs running OS 8.0+:

  • Sony
  • TCL
  • Panasonic
  • Philips
  • Veon
  • JVC

Follow these steps to download and install the app on your TV:

  1. Press Home then navigate to the Apps page.
  2. Select Open Google Play Store.
  3. Once Google Play Store has launched, use the navigational keys to find the Search icon and select it.
  4. Using the remote type in Freeview and begin search.
  5. When the search is done select Freeview Streaming TV and press Install.
  6. The app will download, and you now have access to the application by pressing the Home button on the remote.
  7. Once you're back in Google Home, you can select the '+' tile in the top row to add Freeview Streaming TV to your apps, so you can find it more easily.

Trackside 1 Stream: Some Panasonic TV's are having issues with audio on the Trackside 1 stream. This is being investigated.

Shine TV: Shine TV is currently having issues with their stream and are working on getting this resolved.
