The New Freeview Recorder has 2 x UHF Aerial tuners and 4 x Satellite tuners built-in, so you have the freedom to simultaneously record multiple channels. 

Connected to UHF Aerial: you can record 2 channels simultaneously 

Connected to Satellite Dish: you can record 3 channels simultaneously
