Why did my TV not automatically update the app?

On some TVs, the automatic app update function may be disabled either directly or via the privacy settings on the TVs.  In other cases, the TV may not have been powered on or left in standby mode prior to the old app being switched off; and on rare occasions, the manufacturer’s app servers may not have been online to deliver the update to the TVs while they have been powered on / in standby mode.  If your app didn’t update automatically, simply download / install the new Freeview On Demand app to update it.
