Reset your password - step by step
If you've registered for your Freeview account a while back and can't remember your password to login to your account, you can reset your password.
1. On your TV, go to Freeview On Demand > Settings
2. Select 'LOG IN TO ON DEMAND', then 'LOGIN WITH EMAIL'.
3. Enter the email address* you used to register for your account, then select 'FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD'. (*if you registered via Facebook, this would be the email address linked to your Facebook account).
5. A 'Reset password' link will be emailed to you. This link is only active for a short period of time, so check your email and click the link asap to reset your password. On your smartphone, tablet, PC or laptop, look for an email titled "Freeview - your verification code" from 'no-reply-mailbox@switch.tv' (Look in your Junk mail or other folders too, just in case)
6. Click the link in the email to reset your password. This link will take you to the password reset screen on the Freeview website, with a safe code unique to your password reset.
7. On the Freeview website, enter your email address and your new password. Make sure your email is entered in lower case characters, and there are no extra space characters before/after your email address.
8. Click 'SUBMIT' and your password will be reset.
9. Login to Freeview On Demand on your TV with your new password to start watching on-demand. (Go to Freeview On Demand > Settings > LOG IN TO ON DEMAND)
Enter your email address and your new password, and select 'LOGIN'
10. Once you're logged in, you will remain logged in unless you log out or reset your TV. So it may be a good idea to make a note of your password so you don't forget what it is (since you probably won't be using it on a regular basis, it's easy to forget).
